  2. Matthew Flynn who lived in Glencormac was a great mower. He mowed two acres of hay in one day. He would start at nine oclock in the morning until five oclock that evening. He would sharpen his sythe early in the morning and never sharpen it again until night

  3. John Toole of Kilcroney was a great singer. He was invited to houses when he was young to sing. His favourite songs were "Come back to Erin, In the valley where the Blue Birds Sing, O Domnaill Abu, also the Ministrel Boy".
