- Mr Joseph Lynch of Roundwood Co Wicklow is noted for walking. He gives Mrs Kavanagh for giving him his meals and sleeping accomadation. He never walks anywhere around the place but cycles he walks long journeys such as Bray, Wicklow, Dublin. His nickname is "Friar".
- Miss Roseleen Murphy is a very good singer. She lives with her mother in Kilcool. She is tall and slim and rather good looking. Her complexion is dark. Her favourite songs are "Mother Machree". "I give thee thee red red roses".
Mrs Doran is also a good singer. She sings on the wireless from Athlone.
