The Black Cross is situated between Kilmacanogue and Jameson's. It gets its name from the black cross which is erected in memory of a priest wo was killed long ago.

Cure for sore eyes
Stupe your eyes in a bowl of water off of cold tea leaves and it will make your eyes better.
A wedding ring is supposed to cure sore eyes.

Sick stomach
There is a well in Mrs Toole's field and it cures stick stomach many years ago by pushing the water against the way it was flowing with your hand or a stick.
Cure for whooping cough
Get a spider and but shell and a piece of thread and a but shell. Put the spider in the nut shell and tie it with the piece of thread around our neck until the spider dies and then the whooping cough will go.
