    men quarried all the fields around them in search of gravel. When they quarried this field they only got clay, they then called it the Brick Field

  2. The Raheen Field is situated on Burgesse's land. It is on the townsland of Raheen. Some people call it the Raheen Field and others call it the Rath Field. It isn't near the road but is in a lonely place.
    Some people say that there was a rath in this field long ago. But it is not there now as the field is tilled and that the rath was cut down.
    Old people believed in ghosts and talked of seeing ghosts and fairies in these old raths.
