They used to get four-pence a day for making the roads and their food as-well.
There is an old path from Howell's gate in Barnahask to Kildavin and it is generally called the Mass Path.
A little bit down the present road below the school there is a big holly-tree and a little bit below it is a style and a path crossing to where an old tailor lived.
The tailor asked for this tree never to be cut down and it is there to the present day.
Stepping-stones and poles and trees were used for crossing rivers in shallow places long-ago.
In Carrick-duff there is a cross in memory of an I.R.A. man and there is another cross near Kildavin.
