  1. The following poem is about Barnahask:-
    "Oh Barnahask how lovely,
    And pleasant is they scene,
    Especially in Summer,
When all the fields are green.
John's Hill that lies before us,
    Is always bright and gay,
    You would there enjoy yourself,
    On a lovely Summer's day.
The quarry on the other side,
    With shining slates so bright,
And the heather in its bloom
    Is a most magnificent sight."
