  1. There are several raths around our district. There are two on our land. Long ago it was said that the kings of Ireland used to live in these raths.
    Fairies were living in them and people often saw lights in them. There are two trees in this rath, and it is said that it is in the trees the fairies lived. People say that when the Kings of the raths were dying, they used to bury their money under a big stone, but none of the money has ever yet been found. There are several of these big stones in our bogs also.
