  1. One day a man named Mr. Luis Dempsey was in the fair of barlow about ten years ago. Late at night when he was ready to come home. He went in to a big lodging house in barlow where he stopped all night.
About twelve o'clock the dog started to bark in the yard and set up a fearful howl.
Mr. Dempsey was sleeping up stairs but was awakened.
HE heard a lot of noise down in the kitchen he thought there was someone up.
He could hear the cups and plates rattling on the dresser.
    He became nervous.
Whe he got up in the morning he inquired from the servant girl what the noise was about.
She told him that a protestant man died in his house three years ago.
Mr. Dempsey told me this story on Monday night.
