  1. About 300 yds. From the Square on the Ballymurphy Road is Our Lady’s Well.
    There is a story told that during the Penal Times a priest was saying mass near Tullow + a soldier came along + ordered him to stop. The priest took the Chalice with him + went on horseback. As he was passing the place where Our Lady’s Well is the Chalice dropped + a well sprung up.
    Over a hundred years ago people came from all parts of Ireland to hold what was called a “Pattern” on the 8th of Sept.
