There is a townsland called Aghowle some miles to the east of Tullow. It is pronounced "Aghowl". A priest who was a newcomer to the parish was requesting the prayers of the congregation for a person who had died recently, & was to be buried in Aghowle said that the person was to be buried in "Ahole".
