    (continued from previous page)
    V
Kind sir your offer it is good,
And I'd embrace it if I could,
But I'm afraid my parents would
    Our union disarrange.
Full eighteen summers have I seen.
And yet a lover has not been,

Said the blooming flower of Grange.
    VI
'Tis sad to say my love farewell,
The pain I feel no tongue can tell,
Those heavy thoughts I can't dispel,
    That through my bosom range

And during life for to lament
The day we met in Grange.
