  1. Dyeing was a very old fashioned custom of the Irish people long ago.
    The way it was done was with logwood and copperas. The logwood and copperas were bought at a chemists shop.
    Both of them were poisonous if eaten. They were in separate packages.
    They were powders and they were black.
    They were dipped in hot water and stirred around then the article was put in the boiling liquid
