  1. Spinning was carried out in every house in this district by the women at night by the fire side in olden times.
    It is not long since spinning was laid by.
    There was not a house in this country in those times without a spinning wheel.
    The spinning wheel was a thing the people used for spinning the wool of the sheep into yarn for knitting purposes for the house hold.
