  1. For many years treasure is supposed to have been hidden in the Circus Field of Tullow. It was placed there by the chieftain of Leinster. When Cromwell was waging his war in Ireland and was on his way to Tullow. The chief had his castle on castle hill in Tullow. Cromwell set his cannon in a direct line with the castle. The occupants were obliged to evacuate the castle, they also brought with them their gold. It is supposed to be hidden in the circus field well, but nobody has ever found it.
