People called "tinkers" or "gipseys" still call at our house. The same people have been doing so for many years,. They have cans and saucepans for sale. They sleep in vans, which can be drawn from place to place by horses. There are some families, named Cashes, McCanns, and Keenans, who have been coming for years. These people come before a fair in Carlow, and always put up at the same spot. The Cashes are great horse dealers.
