There is a well in Tullow called Saint Anne's Well. Many people visit this well to cure Rheumatic pains. The people wash themselves with the water, and drink some of it to cure the pains.
If you creep under a donkeys legs three times it is supposed to cure the measles

The cure for whooping cough is to go under a donkey's legs, and over his back three times. There is a well in Mrs Connellens field which is said to cure pains. Several people went there, and were cured.

A cure for whooping cough about 100 years ago. Some people would give bread to a donkey to eat, and any bits he would let drop out of his mouth they would be carefully picked up, and given to the child that would have the cough. This would be given three times once each day.
