  1. On the main road between Tullow and Carlow, there is a small stream, which crosses under the road, and is known by the name of the Half way Ford, as it is four miles to either towns from the bridge which crosses the stream.

  2. A field in Mrs Connellans Johnstown is called Patrick's Field. There is a well in this field, which is known as St. Patrick's well. There is a rock on which he used to sit while teaching the people the True Faith. People long ago used go to St Patrick's well every year for blessed water.
