  1. My father is the owner of a farm in a mountainous district and therefore it is necessary for him to sow potatoes. The amount varies, as he depends on the weather and on the field.
    Sometimes he sows them in a green field which has been ploughed. On other occasions he sows them in manuered ground. They are always sown in drills except in gardens when they are sown in ridges. At first the ground is ploughed. It is next harrowed and some people plough it a second time. When
