  1. A Local Story.
    There is a man named Ned Timmons who lives in Monmore. There is a field on his farm in which there is a rath. On day he went to plough the rath, and he lost the lid of his pipe. He went to look for it and a whole lot of little men came around him, and they said, "There is it, there it is". They kept on tormenting him so that he fled for his life, taking his horses with him. He never tried to plough the rath again
