    About a half a mile from Graiguenamanagh on the old road leading to Skough, there is the ruins of an old house. Outside the house a girl used to see an old man and everytime she saw him he called her by her name.
    She used to describe him to the old people of the district and they soon came to the conclusion that it was the Ghost of the old man that lived and died there. Several old people that knew him often went with her to see was it him. But often when they would be passing the place the girl would say "Oh there he is." but no one could see him only herself, though they often heard him speaking.
    So she told the Priest about it. The Priest told her not to be afraid to speak to him. So
