  1. "The Faery Hound"
    of Rock savage. Ballymurphy.
    Borris, Co. Carlow.
Told by, John Ryan Goolin Borris,
now near 80 years old (Nov. 1937)
I was coming from Ballymurphy one night about 60 years ago along with Gerald Byrne Goolin.
The hound like thing came out Mc'Cabe's style and galloped off in front of us making a noise as if his feet were "as big as potlids"
He could have gone about as far as Mullinagoun forge when he returned at the same pace and passed on for Ballymurphy.
