  1. Many of the pisherogues observed in this district long ago are not observed now.
    No 1. When people would be churning and if anyone went in during the churning they would have to help at the churning.
    No 2. If people were churning and if there was not much butter on the milk, they believed that it was their neighbours, that took it from them by means of power from the devil
    No 3. That it was not lucky for anyone to take water from your well on May morning before yourself.
    No 4. For anyone to cut Gilteact on May morning, that is said to be unlucky.
    No 5. If any man went into a house to light his pipe, he should stay inside in that house, while smoking, If not it was said to be unlucky to take fire out of any house.
    No. 6. It is also considered unlucky to work horses in traces on a Friday.
    No 7. To begin sowing potatoes on a Friday is said to be unlucky.
    No 8. If a cock crew in the middle of the night, it was said that something bad was going to happen to that house.
