The Irish name of this townsland is "baile na breannac" The following are the names of fields and places in it:-The "Cloonagh", "Gowans", "Creteen", "Mulan-ros", "Munnacreel", "Bullpark", "Rock", "Slayrua", "Baitens", "Mattysground",
    "Nock","Limeground", "Bettylawlers","Pastor", "Meadow", "Pin", "Bolgers"field. There is a stream flowing through Walshestown and it is called "Pounnageeract", There is a hill in it and it is called "Fenlons Hill".
