  1. I live in Moycullen, in the parish of Borris, in the barony of St. Mullins (Lower), Co. Carlow. The Irish name of this townsland is Maghcuilin. It means the plain of the Holly. The following are the names of the fields and the places in it:- The "Creteen", "Lawlors" Field, "Pairc-na-capaill",
    "Pairc-na loora", "Mountawnbawn", "Paddy Fenelons" field. The "High stone" field, "Kill" field. The "Carroad" field, "Kearys" field, "the head of the lane field", "Ratheen" field the rath is to be seen there yet. "Molls" field, "Colemans" field, "Poulgar Bog". "The field at the back of Doran's". The "Well" field. "An Pairc beag", "Daly's" field. There is a stream running through Moycullen and a particular spot in it is called the Struckawn.
