  1. The townsland of Lisalican is in the parish of Borris, in the barony of St Mullins (Lower) County Carlow. The Irish name of it is "lios éilacán" The following are the names of fields and places in it. The "Angle field," " "Gárrymór" "Pegs field" "Ratheen field" "Kiln field, "Bpairch coille" and many others. There is a certain part of Lisalican road called Mullán -na-gcuit. It got that name from an evil spirit that used to be seen there. There is another place in it also called "Skehana". In the Kiln in Lisalican there is a flat stone and it is said that there is a soldier buried under that stone who was fighting and was killed in 1798.
