  1. Once upon a time there was a dance in a house. Two men went from Ballymurphy. When the dance was nearly over a knock was heard at the door. The woman of the house went to the door and opened it and as she did a man walked in he had a cloven hoof and a long tail. The people said "Good-Night" to him but he never spoke only walked out again, then the two men were coming from the dance and the same man would not let them home, It was said afterwards that it was a dead man
