    Though the light is still seen there in the middle of the night nobody has made any effort to get the gold which is still supposed to be guarded by the fairy.

  2. About twenty years ago John Joyce of Ballyroughan gave a saddle of a horse to some neighbour. On the night before the fair of Kilkenny he went up to the house for the saddle. It was about twelve o'clock when he was coming home.
    He had the saddle on his back and his hands in the stirrups. When he was coming down the road he was humming a little song. Suddenly he felt some weight on his back. He turned around and saw a fairy standing on the saddle.
    The fairy told him to keep on humming as John had stopped with the fight he got. He started again and when
