  1. A long time ago there was a wealthy man living in the townsland of Marley. He had alot of money and used to go around on horseback. He met with a man named Caheir a great robber. He stopped the man on the horse and told him not to be going around by himself, because it was dangerous to be carrying alot of money with him and the man said he did not care about any man as he carried a pistol.
    I would rob you with a cabbage stalk says Caheir. One morning very early some time after he was going to the fair of Borris and Caheir met him on the road as he knew he was going to the fair that day. He pointed a cabbage stalk at him as if were a revolver, and said, "Stand and deliver or die." The wealthy man handed out his large purse of money Caheir had the cabbage stalk all the time pointed at him and when he had the money he said. "Give
