  1. One day the Holy Family were going on a long journey. After a while the Blessed Virgin found that she had lost the pin of her cloak which she had wrapped round the Holy Infant.
    After a while they came to a shepherd who was minding his sheep in a field. St. Joseph asked him for a thorn off the bush near him if he hadn't a pin, but he said he was too busy minding his sheep to look for any pins or thorns.
    Another shepherd replied crossly that his sheep would break into the next field if he went to look for a pin. They came to a forge after travelling for some time. The smith was working hard, but he stopped his work when he saw the Holy Family coming in.
    St. Joseph asked him for a pin, but he had not one but he would make one. He put
