  1. It is very unlucky to go near raths as Pat Leacey went to cut bushes in one. A bush struck him in the eye and he lost his sight.
    There are many paths where there is a rath & if a house was built on those paths the people would not have any pleasure through their lives. It is said that there used to be lights seen going up and down among the trees and every-where about the stones.
