  1. There is a rath situated in Ballyknockcrumpin about a mile from the school on Mrs Brennan's land in Drummond.
    It is circular and without any underground entrance but this may be covered with bushes or ferns. It is surrounded by high stone walls.
    This rath was probably built by the Danes when in Ireland and was used by them as a dwelling place. It is said that this rath is the dwelling place of the fairies and on that account it is seldom visited by human beings.
