  1. A man named John Shea used to make horse kishes. He used to have them for carrying manure to the fields and when turned the manure would fall out. He used to make nails also out of strong wire. There were three lime kilns in Ballinaberna. The farmers used to burn lime in them.
    They used to draw the lime stones from Poulmountry. They used to spin woollen thread with a woollen wheel.
