    The present remains of St Moling's monastery are four old churches...

    The present remains of St Moling's monastery are four old churches or houses, with a small cell on the left hand side of the monastery it is said that it was St Jame's chapel. In a small square of the churchyard is a stone altar with an arch overhead, that is where the mass was celebrated in the penal times. On the left side of this altar is a stone of black marble in the wall and on it is written "Here lieth the body of Bryan Kavanagh
