Long ago the people of Ballycrinegan had not thatched or slated houses.

Long ago the people of Ballycrinegan had not thatched or slated houses. They had houses about ten feet high and twenty feet wide. First they would build walls very roughly. Then they would put four poles in the length and twelve in the width. When they would have this done they would put sods on the top.
