  1. Old people around my townland say that a dog leaf would cure a sting of a nettle. To cure a wart there is a weed with a yellow flower on it, and there is a kind of a white water inside it, and you should bruise on it, then put it on the wart, and it would cure it.
    To cure the whooping cough, you could put your head over a barrel of boiling tar, and it would cure it.
    If a sty came upon your eye, get a gooseberry thorn, and prod the sty three times, with the thorn, and it would cure it.
    If a weasel bit you, and then a rat to come and suck it, he would cure it.
