  1. There is a Wart-Wall in Mrs. Bernard's land behind Miss Johanna Carry's house in the townland of Knockbarron in the district of Kinnitty, Co. Offaly.People go there to the well and wash the warts in it, and make the sign of the cross on the warts and say three Hail Mary's and after a few days the warts will be gone.

  2. 5. A cure for whooping cough is to go under an ass's legs and over his back saying each time in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
    6. A cure for jaundice is to pull "blackbuttons" and boil their roots in milk. When they are boiled take the roots from the milk and give the milk to the person with the jaundice.
    7. A cure for ring-worm is to put a blessed wedding ring on the ring-worm and leave it
