    Castle-field:
    In the townsland of Cadamstown there is a field called the Castle field. A long time ago the O’Carroll’s had a castle there, but the castle has fallen, and ever since the field is called the Castle-field.
    The Ducking stool field:
    There is a field in Ballingcarrig called the Ducking stool field/ There is a well in this field and any old woman who would be looking for too much news, she would be brought down and ducked in it and so it was called the Ducking stool field.
