    flock of geese were grazing in one of the fields when Mr Cly Fox came along and killed them and their owners found only the wings left hence this field is called the goose field and Wingfield the name of the place but the right name is Skehana.
    In the latter townland when the Potato was first introducd in Ireland they grew an abundant supply and to an enormouss size the people called it Lumper Hill.
    There was a man hung at Knockshegorna it i called the hang-man tree it is on the old back road leding
