  1. Warts
    (1) Get a black-snail and let it creep on the warts. Then get a match and light it and set fire to the snail, and as fast as the snail dies the warts decay away.
    (2) Carry a small piece of washing-soda around in your pocket for nine mornings making the sign of the cross on the warts each morning.
