On May Day a May Bush is put up and the shells of the eggs which were eaten on Easter Sunday are hung on it. Flowers are sprinkled outside the door.
On Hallow E'en games are played. A threepenny bit is put into a basin of cold water, and we dive for it. An apple is hung from the ceiling and we try to bite it.
On New Year's Eve bells are rung at midnight to announce the coming of the New Year. The Band parades the streets.
