  1. Long years ago there was a pan of gold built into the garden wall of the Priory.
    It was hidden by Mr Armstrong. He wanted his son to marry a very rich lady, but the son would not comply with his wishes.
    His father told him he would be penniless, so he melted the gold and built it in the garden wall while the masons were at their dinner.
    Nobody dreamt about it and those who knew about it were afraid to go near it, if they were caught they would be evicted out of their homes.
