  1. An old fairy fort is to be seen in Mr. Tom Kenny's field in Gallen. It is in an old quarry. At night some people are afraid to go through the quarry fear of the fairies. Sometimes lights were seen there.
A story is told among some people that a man was taken away by the fairies one night as he was going through the field. On some nights bells ring there.
Two hawthorn bushes are growing on the edge of it. If anybody tries to dig at the two bushes they find that they are not able to. The fort is round in shape.
It is situated between the Glynn road and the Noggus road. The quarry is used every day at present.
