  1. My great - grandmother used to make starch out of soft potatoes. She lived in Ferbane.
    In olden times the people used to wash the sheep's wool and spin it and knit stockings and other useful garments from the wool.
    The people in the country used to grow flax and make linen from it.
    The ploughs were made in the forge.
    In olden times the farmers used to grind their own wheat between two stones. My grandmother and my great grandmother used to quilt quilts with a quilting frame in their own house.
