  1. Once upon a time when a man was out for a walk he heard a noise in the ditch.
    He looked in and saw a leprechaun.
    He went over very quickly and caught the leprechaun.
    He brought him home. He put him in a chest.
    His wife was making a cake and when she was putting down the cake she tripped and fell with the cake, and the leprechaun began to laugh at her.
    She caught hold of the leprechaun and beat him against the floor and kicked him out the door.
    When the man came home he asked her how the leprechaun got on during the day. She told him that she had kicked him out because he made a laugh of her.
    The man of the house went out and saw the leprechaun once more. Next night he brought him
