  1. There was once a man with a hump on his back
Every night this man used to go to "ramble" somewhere.
One Christmas when he was coming home passing an old rath he heard singing and dancing inside. He looked and saw fairies enjoying themselves.
He went in and they made him dance and sing.
At daybreak they took the hump off his back and let him home. When he got home he told his friend who also had a on his back. This man's friend went the next Christmas. So when he was passing the rath he heard the singing
He went in and disturbed the fairies They were so angry with him that they put the other man's hump on him.
