    Much have I roamed the land around. And many joys I've met
    Of memories keen and places seen
    My heart will ne'r forget.
    But there is one apart from all
    Shines like a day in June.
    Its when's a boy I roamed with joy.
    Down round the Woods of Doon.

    And Youghal hills are fair to see.
    And Bracka's hills are brown
    And see Coolderaha's glistening stream
    I hear its joyful tone.
    As it runs along it sings its song
