    and pulled a thorn out of Our Lord's forehead. When he pulled out the thorn, a drop of blood came with it, and fell on it's breast and that is how the Robin got its red breast.

  2. When the swallow flies high it is the sign of fine weather.
    When the swallow flies low it is the sign of rain.
    If a wag-tail comes into a house it is a sign of bad luck.
    If a pigeon comes in, it is the sign of a death.
    If four swans fly over a house some one is going to die out of that house.
    If a bat flies into a house, it is a sign of death for a friend.
    Some people do not like to meet a wag-tail, they call it the Devil's bird.
