  1. the Stations
    St Ciaran died in Clonmacnois on the 9th September and since his death there is a pilgrimage held in that place on that date. People come from all over the country to make the Stations. The Stations can be made any day form 1st September to the end of the month. There is a long Station which takes about three hours to make and a short Station which takes about half an hour to make.

    Short Station
    Go one round of St Ciaran's Well and then kneel at the cross, say seven Paters and Aves, one Glory and the Creed. Cross the stream of well and at the Old Celtic cross, say five Paters and Aves and one Glory. At the image of St Ciaran say five Paters and Aves and one Glory. Start at the cross again and do two other rounds similar to the first, but finish at the Cross with
