    a great thirst came on the king and he ordered his servants to bring him some wine to drink but when he was about to drink it, the wine would disappear from the vessel, and in a great rage he told them to fetch him some water from the Shannon, but it was of no avail. So in the end he died of thirst.

  2. A long time ago, there lived in TullaBeg a man named Johnnie Devery. At that time there was a thick row of poplars growing beside Clinagh. This man was going on a visit. When he was passing by Clinagh he heard a lot of noise. He ran back and told his neighbours that he heard fairies digging in Clinagh. He made some of them come up to the Fairies.
    When they arrived there they found no fairies but they heard the leaves
