  1. The Blast of Wind.
    Once upon a time a young man and his mother were at a fair in Ballinasloe. It was a very cold day, and as his mother was old and he had a lot of business to do, she came home with a neighbouring man. She told her son she would wait for him in some house. She waited until it was very late, and then she said she would go home walking. When she came to the "Blast of Wind," she saw a little house on the side of the hill, that she had never seen before. She went in and sat down by the fire, and began to talk with the old woman who was there. After some time talking she went home.
